City of Joensuu is the center of North Karelia province in terms of events and restaurant life and shopping.

3. Day - Kolovesi national park
The guide picks you up from the hotel.
Kolovesi national park is about an hour’s drive from Joensuu. You cannot get to know this national park from the mainland, so you have to go there by kayaking or rowing. The area is a labyrinthine and naturally peaceful destination, with rugged and rocky beaches. There are rock paintings in the area and the lucky ones can also see a seals here.

5. Day - Picnic to Island on Lake Pielinen

Picnic to Island on Lake Pielinen. This trip brings you by boat from Koli harbour to the enchanting sandy isles of Lake Pielinen. We prepare our luch snacks on open fire on the isle. You can enjoy refreshing swimming on the shore.Max. 4 persons/trip. Prices include transportations from Koli to the harbour and isle, insurances, food and guide services. Departure from Koli.

This scenic trail includes Koli’s most famous panoramic views. The tour starts front of Nature Center Ukko, where you meet your guide. The tour takes you to the highest scenic points in the Koli National Park: UkkoKoli, Akka-Koli and Paha-Koli. During the tour, your guide tells you interesting facts and stories about Koli, its history, nature and culture, as well as artists who have found inspiration in the Koli hills. You see spectacular views throughout the tour, and you have plenty of time to enjoy them and take photos.
