Make jewellery and hike at Hiidenportti National Park
Welcome to hike and make your own unique earrings or pendant in the stunning scenery and tranquillity of Hiidenportti National Park. On the excursion we will hike 5 km and admire the gorge valleys, swamps and the atmosphere of the old forests. During this excursion you get to assemble your own piece of jewellery from varnished and painted birch plywood jewellery parts, recycled stone beads and allergy safe steel, as a souvenir of the hike. After the trip you will be able to design and make your own jewellery in the future!
You will also hear stories about local nature and the mysterious Hiidenportti goblin. Will the goblin peek through the rocks to admire the jewellery you made? Maybe! After making jewellery, we will enjoy small snacks and hike back to the starting point in a happy mood.
The hike is suitable for all those looking for new experiences and those who are stressed out. It has been proven that making handicrafts in nature is relaxing! So welcome to the jewellery and hiking adventure in Hiidenportti National Park!
The excursion is organised by hiking company called Metsäkädet. Metsäkädet follow the rules of the national park, litter-free hiking and the hiking etiquette.

To whom: People who are interested in jewellery making and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. No previous experience in jewellery making is necessary. The terrain of the trail is moderately difficult and demanding in places. The route has altitude differences, rocks and rooted paths. However, the route is suitable for people of normal fitness. Please note: Please make sure you are equipped with outdoor clothing and good outdoor shoes for the hike. We recommend bringing mosquito repellent, a mosquito hood/jacket and sunscreen as appropriate, as well as headgear. Please take your own water and waterbottle with you.
As a rule, the trip will not take place in stormy weather or rain. Please note that the weather can change unexpectedly, so please follow the messages on the phone number you provided when booking before the trip. A little unexpected summer rain in the middle of the trip is not a problem, as we can rig up a tarp for shelter when we make the jewelry if needed. Please bring your own water bottle and water with you on the trip.
Please note that participants are responsible for their own accident and travel insurance.

Reservations cancelled less than 48h before the event will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee. If illness prevents you from participating in the excursion, please apply to your insurance company for compensation (travel insurance).
We reserve the right to make changes or cancel the event due to weather conditions or other force majeure. If the event has to be cancelled for these reasons, the customer will be refunded in full or a separate agreement will be made to reschedule the event.
