Welcome to an unforgettable Vaikko Wilderness Canoeing week in 2024 at Vaikko!
Guided canoeing the whole week in the Vaikkojoki river and lakes including the opportunity for white water rafting is an exciting and memorable experience in Vaikko Wilderness.
We start the canoeing week in the lakes of Kärenjarvi and Vihtajarvi under the guidance of the host and professional guides. You will have the canoes available for the whole week and have a possibility of mid-night canoeing too.
Next day, we will explore Vaikkojoki ** river from Polvikoski until Kärenkoski, the half a day river trip with a couple of the white-water rapids suitable for the beginners under the guidance of the host and professional guides.
The day after we will explore Vaikkojoki * river from Makkarasärkkä/ Kusiaiskoski until Kärenkoski the whole day river trip w the white-water rapids suitable for the beginners under the guidance of the host and professional guides. On the trip you can also enjoy a lunch prepared on campfire.
We offer you a unique opportunity to canoe and relax in the wilderness amid the scenic river, lakes and rapids, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This week is dedicated to canoeing, nature, and peace of mind.

Ecological and Responsible: Vaikon Loma ja Lohi is committed to environmental responsibility. We hold the Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) certificate, Green Key certificate, and Responsible Travel certificate from Visit Finland.
Surrounding Nature: Our location is in an FSC-certified forest with a conservation program covering over 10-15% of our forest.
Organic Farm: We have been operating as an EU organic farm since the 1990s.
Accommodation: Comfortably equipped wilderness cabins (8 cabins) in a beautiful environment.
