Winter Experience Week in the Arctic Lakeland
Week filled with activities
This week is for fun, action and activities such as husky safari, crosscountry skiing, snowshoeing and wildlife watching. For your free time you may book optional activities such as rapid swimming, fat bike tour, ice-fishing etc. Do also try some kick-sledding, tobogganing, making snow angels, walking on the snow, visiting Kuhmo village in our special museums.

Daily: Breakfast, dinner, evening saunas with indoor and outdoor jacuzzis
Day 1
Arrival to Kajaani airport, transfer to Hotel Kalevala.
Accommodation and dinner.
Day 2
Cross-country ski school.
Day 3
Transfer (approx 45 min) to husky farm. You’ll drive 6 km snowy trail with team of huskies, 2 persons/sled. Half way you have a chance to switch drivers. After the safari enjoy hot juice and sausages by open fire.In the end introduction of the husky farm and chance to pet the dogs and take pictures.
Day 4
Leisure snowshoe walk through taiga forests and on frozen lake.
Day 5
Transfer to Lentiira village. Follow the tracks of wolverine, elk and hare by snowshoes with your professional wilderness guide. You’ll reach the private wilderness hut where you’ll stay 1,5-2 hours in the middle of silence to get a chance to observe wolverine and other animals of the taiga forest. Tour includes transfers and picnic.
Day 6
Snowmobile safari 2 persons/snowmobile. You can switch drivers on the way or book your own snowmobiles (+ 40 €/person)

Breakfast, transfer to Kajaani airport
