The eternal beauty of Hiidenportti
Hiidenportti can be found in the backwoods of Kainuu and presents a truly impressive landscape of gorges. Hiidenportti National Park also offers points of interest and stories for visitors interested in cultural history. Hiking through the national park offers you the chance to experience many different types of Finnish nature!

These hiking tours can be tailored according to the wishes and fitness levels of the customer.

Price: 430€ /person/3 nights, 4 days.
Price includes: Full board accommodation at Majatalo Pihlajapuu (accommodation, breakfast, packed lunch, coffee/tea, dinner, sauna), 2 guided hiking tours and transportation to national parks.
For an additional fee: Single room +20€/night.
Additional nights 50€ (incl. accommodation and breakfast)

How to get there: To access Valtimo from Helsinki you may either fly to Joensuu or Kuopio. Kuopio airport is located 137 km from Valtimo and Joensuu airport 173 km. There is also a train connection from Helsinki to Joensuu and further train connection to Nurmes. From Joensuu you may take a coach bus di-rectly to Guesthouse Puukarin Pysäkki. Upon request we pick you up from Kuopio or Joensuu airport. The best way to get to Helsinki is by air, and it is easily accessible, no matter from where you are travelling from. At the airport there are various rental car companies available. If you want to travel with your own car, you can reach Helsinki via ferry from Tallinn, Stockholm, Travemünde and Rostock.
