The aim is to observe the environment with fresh eyes and collect ideas for the week’s creative projects.
Afternoon: Tetra Pak printmaking
The morning’s sketches are transferred onto recycled beverage-carton printing plates. The images are printed on high-quality printmaking paper using water-soluble inks and a pasta machine as a small printing press.
Each participant creates a series of prints. We will also compile a shared print portfolio so that every participant receives one artwork from each member of the group.

On the return journey, we stop in Juuka for a guided The Sculpture Promenade showcases Juuka’s unique soapstone-carving tradition as part of the townscape. The route features works created during the Juuka Stone Carving Festivals between 2021 and 2024, forming an inspiring open-air gallery where art, local history and the natural beauty of North Karelia come together.
