SATURDAY SAUNA
Welcome to experience an unforgettable sauna retreat at Saunamaa!
Hidden deep in the forests of North Karelia, this mysterious hideaway invites you to enjoy the gentle heat of five different wood-heated saunas and experience authentic Finnish sauna culture at its best.
The traditional Finnish Saturday sauna is heated from 4 pm to 7 pm in the peaceful surroundings of pure nature at Saunamaa. Between sauna sessions, you can take a refreshing swim in the clean waters of Lake Vaikkojärvi and enjoy a refreshing Kotakylä drink or sparkling Villi-vissy. In the kota hut, you are welcome to enjoy your own snacks or grill sausages over the fire.
SUNSET KOTA HUT
The Sunset Kota Hut is a cozy place to cool down between sauna sessions. Even on cooler evenings, you can admire the sunset over Lake Vaikkojärvi through the large windows. The hut can also be rented for activities such as art workshops.
SHOWERS
Spacious washing and changing facilities are located in a separate building, with a terrace where you can relax and enjoy a chilled non-alcoholic Kotakylä sauna drink.
SWIMMING BEACH
The beach has a long, shallow sandy shoreline, perfect for swimming between sauna sessions. It is especially suitable for children and even for beginners practicing canoeing.
