Usva House is a harmonious blend of Finnish and Japanese architectural influences, showcasing both traditional craftsmanship and contemporary wooden design. Its monumental timber frame structure, created by local artisans at Vivaret Oy, is inspired by centuries-old French guild traditions. The elegant cladding, crafted with the Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique, adds a striking, tactile quality to the façade.
Constructed entirely of sustainable Finnish wood, the building’s materials are sourced from the region. Wall panels come from Crosslam’s Kainuu factory, while the downstairs ceilings are crafted from spruce trees felled on-site and processed by a local sawmill.

Accommodation (max 10 people)
- Bedroom 1: King-size bed (200 x 200 cm), two picture windows, skylight, 5 m high ceiling and wardrobe.
- Bedroom 2: Queen-size bed (160 cm), two picture windows, skylight, en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet and loft. The loft has an extra bed.
- Bedroom 3: Queen-size bed (160 cm) and a regular-size bed (120 cm) on the mezzanine, wardrobes, hanging net, picture window and skylight
- Bedroom 4 : King-size bed (180 cm), walk-in closet, exit to the terrace, located downstairs next to the sauna, accessible
