This trip tastes like the forest. Discover the most delicious secrets of Finnish forests – and take a piece of nature home.
Welcome to a 7-day experience in the autumn forest, where the peace of nature, pure ingredients and Finnish traditions combine into a unique trip. This week is aimed at adults who love being outdoors, local food and a relaxed atmosphere.

Program 

Day 1 – Arrival to the Guesthouse Pihlajapuu
Welcome dinner, evening 

Day 2 – Mushroom picking
A nature hike to the nearby forest, guidance on mushroom picking techniques and searching for chanterelles. Lunch by the campfire and dinner of wild game.

Day 3 – Berry picking day
Blueberries, lingonberries and preserving tips. In the evening, a local dinner with a berry twist.

Day 4 – Suppilovahvero hunting and forest spirit
Quiet walk in moist forests, collecting Suppilovahvero mushroom.

Day 5 – Free day or additional excursion (optional)
Relaxing time on your own or additional excursions such as fishing, canoeing or a spa day.

Day 6 – Forest on a plate
A joint cooking class: a three-course dinner is cooked from the collected ingredients. Karelian pies and berry pies workshop.

Day 7 – Departure
Transportation back to the airport or train station.
