Enjoy a traditional Karelian lunch at Koivuniemi Manor, where you’ll savor local delicacies made from fresh, seasonal ingredients. After your meal, explore Patrick Ward’s mosaic exhibition to appreciate the intersection of art and history at this charming venue.
Koistinen Kantele Workshop – Co-play Kantele Session
After the farm visit, head to the Koistinen Kantele workshop, where you’ll witness the craftsmanship of Finland’s national instrument. Participate in a co-play kantele session, gathering around a communal kantele to learn and play simple tunes together. This interactive experience showcases the joy of music and Karelian traditions.
Evening at Villa Ruusula – Tastes and sound of Karelia
After visiting kantele factory, you will get chance to meet the cultural ambassador Sari Kaasinen in her cultural home, Villa Ruusula. Sari will serve us delightful dinner featuring traditional Karelian cuisine and music.
Stargazing or Northern Lights
As night falls, enjoy stargazing or, if conditions allow, witness the breathtaking beauty of the Northern Lights. This magical experience will be the perfect way to end your day, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Karelian countryside.
