The week's trip includes e.g. skiing, snowshoeing, winter cycling and, of course, spa pampering. Take time and let your mind be free from everything else except nature, silence and skiing. 2. Day | Skiing
Getting to know the skis, skiing tour on the fields and in the forests of shore of Lake Pielinen.

Option: Skiing school for beginners
Have you already experienced cross-country skiing? On this wintery and snowy adventure you will learn a new skill. This is your chance to challenge yourself! Will you be able to keep your balance? This trip is for beginners. Our guide will get you acquainted with your skis and the right cross-country skiing technique. We will end our tour with enjoying a hot beverage at the local safari house.
3. Day | Snowshoe
Snowshoe Safari For Karelian village
We will head towards the nearby forests and, depending on the ice conditions, also onto the frozen Lake Pielinen. You will be sure to break a sweat, hiking along the snowy trails. We will end the safari at a wilderness hut, where we will make some delicious campfire pancakes along with sooty pot coffee.
Before embarking on the tour, you will be equipped with suitable gear (you can also participate wearing your own winter gear) and advised on proper snowshoeing technique and on how to adjust your shoes. This safari requires a good level of general fitness.

Tour Skating Skates or winter bike
Skating on natural ice is a great way to explore Lake Pielinen or other surrounding lakes. We offer touring skates with boot bindings. The skates attach to winter boots with two bindings.

6. Day | Sliding Snowshoe
Sliding Snowshoe Safari amidst Wintery forest
Embark on a two-hour guided sliding snowshoe safari in the nearby forest! Explore the enchanting scenery, enjoy the soothing atmosphere of the pine forest and white snowdrifts. If weather conditions allow, we may also ski onto the frozen Lake Pielinen. This tour is all about great exercise!
We will end the tour with lighting a campfire and enjoying coffee at a wilderness hut. Each snowshoer will also have the opportunity make themselves a campfire pancake! Welcome to experience a great adventure in crisp winter weather!
Before embarking on the tour, you will be equipped with suitable gear (you can also participate wearing your own winter gear) and advised on sliding snowshoe features and technique. Sliding snowshoes combine the best features of snowshoes and forest skis. They offer a good grip when skiing uphill and allow for a bit of speed when skiing downhill. This safari requires a good level of general fitness.

Karelian Village Twin room
Cozy hotel rooms in the rustic Karelian style log houses in the Karelian village. All rooms are equipped with TV, shower and kettle. Rooms have twin beds and one extra bed. The Karelian Village is located near Bomba House about 300-400 meters away from the spa hotel.

Spa Bomba is an oasis where you can relax in a luxurious environment surrounded by beautiful lakeland nature. The spa draws its spirit from Karelian mystique, which you can experience in the saunas Kyly, Sampo and Taivaankansi, special showers and many other details.
The pool department has hot and cold pools and a jacuzzi, all set up in an impressively lit environment with lake Pielinen and the surrounding hilly terrain as a backdrop. In the warm outdoor jacuzzi you are literally immersed in the Karelian nature – a truly unforgettable experience!
Bomba area have very high-quality tracks for skiing, in the evening lights is on until 9 pm.

- Transfer from Kuopio Airport 400€/1-15 person taxi/direction
- Transfer from Railway Station Nurmes 25€/person.
- Ask about group transfer possibilities: On the arrival day, Saturday; one group transfer from airport Kuopio at 18.00. Return on Saturday one group transfer to airport Kuopio at 11.00 (for the flight of at about 14.15).
