Winter holiday in the Karelian way
Go on a skiing trip to the idyllic countryside of North Karelia. Snow, white forests and frozen lakes; February and March are the best skiing times in North Karelia. The sun is shining, the snow is shining, the frozen lakes and hills are covered with a thick layer of snow. The landscape is wonderfully beautiful and you are surrounded by silence. It's quiet in the woods. Sometimes you can see hare footprints or even moose footprints on our ski slopes. Take time and let your mind be free from everything else except nature, silence and skiing. Welcome to pure nature!
The daily ski trips are 15-25 km at the guesthouse's traks and in the Karelian village you can ski as much as you want. At the Guesthouse, in the evenings you can go to the sauna and cool off in the snow. You will also get to know typical Finnish home-made delicacies. The food is local and we also often use organic products. and after a good night's sleep you will be fit to ski again. In the Karelian village you will find a Karelian spa with various saunas and delicacies.

Getting to know the skis, skiing tour on the fields and in the forests of Laitalan Lomat in the afternoon, 16 km.

Laitalan Lomat Countryside Holidays offers cosy accommodations, local food and various program services. Guesthouse located in beautiful scenary in North Karelia in Finnish Lakeland. Distance to Bomba Holiday Resort is 22 km. Driving time to Nurmes from the airports in Joensuu, Kuopio and Kajaani is about 1,5 hours.
