Discover Koli National Park on Snowshoes
Guided snowshoe tour to the wintry forest with snow-covered trees and to the highest scenic viewpoints, Ukko-, Akka- and Paha-Koli, in Koli National Park. The tour starts with a short introduction to snowshoeing technique – no previous experience is needed!
On the tour your guide tells you about Koli, its history and culture and nature. You also have time to enjoy the nature, take photos and have fun with your snowshoes. On the tour you experience the magical winter forest, peaceful nature and fresh, pure air.
During the tour we will enjoy warm juice from Kupilka cups. Welcome to discover Koli National Park on snowshoes!
Duration: 1.5–2 hours
Group size: 1–40 persons
Available: January–beginning of April (snow conditions permitting)

Departure and return: By Koli Nature Centre Ukko, Ylä-Kolintie 39, Koli
Distance: 1,5–2,5 km
Difficulty: Suitable for people with normal health, no previous snowshoeing experience is needed. The trail has some up- and downhills, but the pace is relaxed.

€30/person for a group of 16–40 persons
€32/person for a group of 9–15 persons
€256/group for a group of 1 – 8 persons
Price includes: Snowshoe rental, guiding, warm juice. VAT 10%. Koli National Parks’s right of
use fee per person, charged by Metsähallitus, is included in the price.
Equipment:
Participants should have suitable outdoor clothing, warm and comfortable, preferably warm shoes with high ankles.
Sustainability:
We have Good Travel Seal and STF sustainable tourism certifications. We co-
operate with Metsähallitus: we pay fees for the use of trails and other facilities
in Koli National Park, and we follow the rules and regulations of the park. For
your trail meals, we do not use disposable dishes and we prefer organic and
vegetarian products. We highlight and celebrate local culture and history on our
tours.
Cancellation invoicing policy:
Cancellation more than 14 days before the booked tour without charge.
Cancellation 14 to 4 days before the booked tour, 50% of the agreed
tour price will be charged. Cancellation less than 4 days in advance, 100% of
the price will be charged. Invoicing is based on the number of participants
confirmed 4 days prior to the tour, or if more people participate, according to
the number of people on the tour.
