Karelian Skiing tour
Welcome to enjoy the spring sun and skiing without hurry. On the ski tour, you ski from Guesthouse Puukarin Pysäkki to Laitalan Lomat and back to Puukarin Pysäkki. The route runs through variable terrain in forests and on lake ice. The distance between the guesthouses is 22 km. Between the skiing, you can rest in the hut, and grill sausages in all peace. After skiing, the Guesthouse offers delicious local, Karelia á la carte food, gentle sauna baths and restful sleep in a comfortable room. The skiing tour is a full-service package where you just focus on enjoying skiing and Karelian hospitality. Welcome!

PROGRAM:
1. Day
Arrival day: Arrival at Karelian Guesthouse Puukarin Pysäkki, in Valtimo.
Dinner and Sauna. Tour info.
Accommodation at Guesthouse Puukarin Pysäkki.
- The Guesthouse has its own 7 km skiing track. Also, opportunity for a wool sock run.
1. Ski Day
After a well-slept night, the ski trip from Puukarin Pysäkki starts via Haapajärvi to Laitalan Lomat in Karhunpää. The route runs through fields, nice spruce forests and along lakes. Skiing distance approx. 22 km. Luggage is transported to Laitalan Lomat.

2. Ski Day
A day of skiing in Laitalan Lomat. Laitala has its own 15 km long landscaped ski track. The well-maintained and illuminated ski trails of the Valtimo village are also an option. Possibility for snowshoeing as well.

3. Ski Day
After breakfast, skiing from Laitalan Lomat back to Puukarin Pysäkki.
- Dinner, sauna and accommodation at Puukarin Pysäkki.
4. Day
After breakfast on the way home or extra days in Karelian style Spa Hotel at Nurmes. The hotel area there are lit ski trails, lights are on every day from 7:00 in the morning until 21:00 in the evening.
Price: 540 €/person/4 nights, 5 days.
Extra days in Karelia Spahotel from 90€/person/day.
Price includes: Full-service ski trip: accommodation in guesthouses with full board (breakfast, packed lunch, dinner), sauna, luggage transfers and route info.

Extra charge:
- Additional days: 98€/day/person with full board and skies, transfers are not included.
- Transfer to the airport from 320€/ one way / by mini bus.
- Rental skiing equipment from 100€/person /Tour
- Please, give your shoe size, height and weigth. You can also bring your own ski boots but please, remember to inform the ski binding so that we can reserve you the right skis.
- We advice you to take a travel insurance.
Physical condition needed:
- Skiing experience and good condition to ski max. 22 km/day.
- Our skiing track is a nature track made by snowmobile. So in case of a hard wind and snow storm we cannot guarantee the track stays open all the time. We reserve the right to changes in the program due to weather conditions.
